This is just a bit of homework, can anyone tell me a reason, or a few reasons Nottingham was bombed in the World War 2?

The psychological effect of an interior air attack on the British people. Remember, aircraft and detection really didn’t exist before WWII as effective weapons, and if the Germans could demoralize the Brits into an early surrender, Hitler would have an easy time, since we (the USA) would not have gotten involved.
As we all know, the resolve that carried them through the buzzbombs and V2s also carried the Brits through this, also, resulting in modern radar and encryption.

It’s possible that the factories in Nottingham had been converted to making things for the war effort. Maybe the lace making factories were converted to uniforms and stuff like that.
The Nazis also mistakenly thought that by bombing British towns they could demoralise the British people. Little did they realise that they were releasing the “bulldog spirit” and its Scottish equivalent when they bombed Clydebank and it’s shipyards.
