Not exactly Mansfield way on.
But I would be inclined to go for the watersports centre.Holme Pierrepoint.
The track around the central lake is 4k.(they used to do the world 100k here.which I admit is mental)
Afterwards you get a ice cream..stick your legs in the slalom course and cool down gently.
Be pleasantly entertained by kayaks hurtling down the new course.
Rufford Park is half way between the two..very picturesque and quiet………. a couple of cicuits of its lake would suffice.Ok so its closer to Ollerton.but you get my drift.
I’d be inclined to do more milage too………if you are going to do something .do it properly.
You have bags of time to be able to do a half marathon even if you havent done much running before.
If you get beyond six miles..you just might find she get runners high……….!!!
Well worth the effort…….and will motivate you for ever to carry on running
