With access to things like Facebook and Twitter, you can now instantly ask your friends for ideas or opinions and get the feedback that you need to help to find the perfect hotel to meet your requirements.

Tourist Boards / Area Organisations – Most areas in the country have specific tourist organisations and groups set up to help promote the local area, including recommending and promoting local accommodation. You can visit their website or drop them a line to find out more about the hotels in the area and also make sure that any potential hotel rooms meet your needs and requirements.

But what you pay for your accommodation whilst staying in Nottingham will depend on just where you stay and at what time of year you visit the city. Certainly if you are intending to visit at the height of the season (summer) and book yourself in to a city centre hotel, expect to pay considerably more than you would for accommodation that is located on its outskirts.

However, if your budget is somewhat limited then there are plenty of choices for you also. One such place that is worth considering especially if visiting in the summer is The Holme Pierrepoint Camping and Caravan Site, which is located at Nottingham’s National Watersports Centre and is to the south east side of the city.

But if you would prefer a few little comforts but cannot afford hotel then why not consider the Igloo Tourist Hostel. Located close to the bus station in Nottingham it provides you with easy access to the centre of the city without the costs. ye i had to do that this year (would have rather camped again).
i cant remember what the hotels name name was but was at back of station, theres a few hotels right near derby station.

and a shuttle thant goes to and from the bus stop outside derby station to download. this runs every 15mins or somin(id hate to be bus driver lol).
