I will live at the dorms or share a house with other people if I go to Nottingham University..
So how safe is it- Can you go out at 8 pm or would you get robbed ?
Can you take the bus home alone after a night out ?

Is Nottingham a safe city for a University student?

nottingham does have a fairly high crime rate – but me off going to uni there – the student halls should be fine though as most unis have on site security but i wouldnt go out alone after dark
yes it is safe. these crimes dont involve students…
It’s not as dangerous as everyone makes out. Just like any city, you have to be sensible, but you’re in no more danger than anywhere else.
Of course you can go out after 8… the uni is in a nice area, so as long as you don’t go to the “rougher” parts of town you will be fine.
Bus alone after a night out is the same price as a taxi (It becomes £3.50 after 11) so taxi is cheaper and safer.
