I thought the burgers at GBK are much more substantial than you would get at burger king or mcdonalds and certainly should be for the price. The small burgers cost between £7 and £8 each and that doesn’t include fries. They are an extra £3.50 (approx). A bottle of wine cost another £16 so the bill was much higher than we expected from a restaurant where you have to place your order at the counter. The food was great but we did notice that there was a lot of seseme seeds on the floor and on some of the tables. The staff were very friendly. Although it was dear I would not rule out going again some time in the future. Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a proper burger and doesn’t mind paying high prices.
Yesterday I experienced GBK, I have to say initially i was’nt impressed at all and I nearly walked! with or without my friend lol…
Firstly although the furniture was contempory I found that it didnt look that comfortable however was willing to give it a go… The floor and chairs were covered in crumbs and clearly they had had a busy day or just not enough staff on the cleaning (BK or Macd’s do always have cleaners on the floor so its generally spotless)
I found that the prices were extremly high for what food was on offer… I was well preterbed about having to order chips as a side (£3.00 for a small bowl) with a burger, they should come as a matter of course! also had to order salad seperatly and coleslaw which although was homemade it wasnt actually proper coleslaw as there was no mayo or salad cream in it lol… bizare… The burger was medioca for the prices.
Also for the prices that they charge I would expect full table service, meaning once seating you were treated like a proper guest rather than being in a fast food outlet… I actually thought they were going to ask me to cook the burger myself.
Staff were sullen and only one lady (she wore pink lol) was actually helpful, the rest just didnt seem to want to be there really. I didnt feel welcome and overall if the question is would I go again then the answer is No. Not even if someone else is paying… I can think of tons more atmospheric and pleasent places to dine in before choosing an overpriced burger joint who dont even wanna serve you or give you chips as part of the meal before going back here. I won’t step foot in the place again.

I wouldn’t go here again. The burgers were nothing that you couldn’t get in a decent pub but they were double the price by the time you added your £3 portion of chips on the side. The chips were even cheap frozen ones that tasted a bit rubbish really. To top it of a 500ml beer was £5.35. Fast food at restaurant prices! It’s not for me
