but i can’t think of any that were filmed/based in Nottingham.
That old classic Room At the Top was filmed in Nottingham many years ago. Guy Richie tends to film here in England and other films like My Beautiful Laundrette, Bend if Like Beckham were filmed in England. As a rule of thumb, most British made/Ealing Studio films are set in England. Also 51st State, Kes, A Taste of Honey, Please Sir – there are loads of them!
